EB Institute History
2007 – Euroleague Basketball launches the EB Institute, an educational program to help develop professionals in the sporting business. In the same year, the EB Institute partnered with Ca’foscari University of Venice of Italy to create a 6 months innovative post-degree program in Sports Marketing and Communication, providing an educational mix of in-person training sessions and e-learning modules, allowing students to complement their studies with work.
2010 – The Master’s Program in Sports Marketing and Communication derived from the previous post-degree program from Ca’ Foscari University and Euroleague Basketball. The Master lasted for one full year having three in-person sessions and e-learning modules. The students received a 1st level international master’s degree in “Sports Marketing and Communication – MaSMaCom” with 60 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System).
2017 – Euroleague Basketball and Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) launched the Sports Business MBA by EB Institute. The new partnership came 10 years after the initial creation of the Euroleague Basketball Master in Sports Marketing and Communication. The course awards 90 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) to graduates. The MBA uses blended learning, featuring the latest e-learning tools offering maximum flexibility and sustained interaction with professors on a unique 16-month journey, with four in-person sessions complementing this.
